First Thursday of November.
A day for asking what our brains need. The next one is Thursday 5 November 2026.
What happens
on the day.
We ask the people around us what their brains need, and we answer the question for ourselves. Nobody needs a diagnosis to ask or to answer. Organisations on the Register show what they have changed.
Four steps
Ask. Listen. Act. Check back.
- Step 1
Ask.
Ask what their brain needs, and mean it. You never need to know their diagnosis.
- Step 2
Listen.
Take the answer in whatever way it comes: words, writing, symbols or sign.
- Step 3
Act.
Change one thing, and say out loud what you changed.
- Step 4
Check back.
Ask again later whether it worked, and keep going until it does.
Mark it where you are.
-
At work.
Share your card with your manager, and agree one thing that will change.
-
At school.
Ask your school what it will change for the way your brain learns.
-
At home.
Tell the people closest to you what helps, in whatever way suits you.
Think Neurodiversity
Two weeks before.
Think Neurodiversity is our gathering on 21 October 2027, where neurodivergent people agree the November list. [TO CONFIRM: city]
The asks
The November list.
What we ask every organisation to do. Neurodivergent people set it, and we agree it together in October 2027.
